Christ Who is Our Life

Christ Who is our Life

“I AM.” Who art Thou Lord?
I Am– all things to thee;
Sufficient to thine every need;
Thou art complete in Me.

I AM- thy Peace, thy Joy,
Thy Righteousness, thy Might;
I Am– thy victory o’er sin,
Thy Keeper day and night.

I AM-thy Way, the Life;
I Am– the Word of Truth;
Whate'er thy lack, I Am– to thee
El Shaddai, enough.

I AM-thy Life within.
Thine everlasting Bread;
Eat of my flesh, and drink of My blood
I AM– what dost thou need?

Simple Crocheted Potholder

This potholder is a fun project to make, basically all you have to do is start out with a crocheted chain and then single crochet around the chain. :)

Start out with a single chain approximately nine inches in length.

Crochet around the chain. (One round.)

Continue crocheting around the first chain. This is how it should look after 13 or so rounds.

Almost finished!

With a large needle (in this case I made my own using a stick from outside, lol! I'm sure a real needle would have worked better but this one did the job.) sew the opening together using yarn as thread.

Finished and ready to use! :)

A Humble Desire

LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear. Psalm 10:17

(A rose blooming in our yard. This beautiful photo was taken by my younger sister. )
"A humble desire is one which leaves everything in God's hands. The man who has it says, 'Now, though I desire this, it may be it is not a right desire. Lord, I desire only to desire what I ought to desire! My desire is that Your desire should be written on my heart, that I may desire what You desire.' Your will be done in my soul, in my body, in my circumstances, and in me, in all respects."

The Christian Warrior, by Christoph Von Schmid

Written by the author of A basket of Flowers, this excellent book set during the reign of Emperor Trajan, about a century after the birth of Christ, Placidus a Roman leader and warrior is led to faith in Jesus Christ. Because of persecution he and his family must leave Rome. Placidus' faith is tested as on their journey every earthly convenience and companion is taken from him. A very moving story of God's Grace and Providence.

I've only been able to find one publisher that carries this book. You can visit their site here.

Walking by Faith

But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that
cometh to God must beleive that He is, and that He is a
rewarder of them that dilligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6

Walking by Faith

Why should I worry, God knows the way,
He knows each tomorrow, why trouble today,
To each day is sufficient the evil thereof;
Each day has its sorrow, its smoothness and rough.

As each day is dawning God's goodness is new,
Giving added blessing all the day through,
Walking by faith, one step at a time,
The hills of tomorrow today we can't climb.

The grief of tomorrow today we can't bear,
Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever,
Walking by faith till we overcome,
Only by grace we reach our home.

Psalm 148:12-14

Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory is above the earth and heaven. He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD. Psalm 148:12-14

Praise Him!

Fanny Crosby

Praise Him! Praise Him!
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness. Psalm 150:2

Praise Him! praise Him!
Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
Sing, O Earth, His wonderful love proclaim!
Hail Him! hail Him! highest arch angels in glory;
Strength and honor give to His holy name!

Like a shepherd Jesus will guard His children,
In His arms He carries them all day long:
Praise Him! praise Him!
Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!
For our sins He suffered and bled and died;

He our Rock, our hope of eternal salvation,
Hail Him! hail Him! Jesus the Crucified.
Sound His praises! Jesus who bore our sorrows;
Love unbounded, wonderful deep and strong:
Chorus

Praise Him, praise Him! tell of His excellent greatness;
Praise Him! praise Him! ever in joyful song!
